President Joe Biden said thank you to first responders with an awkward phone call at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The president and first lady took part in a phone call which started of very awkward, after NBC’s Dylan Dreyer could not hear them for about 1 minute.
Dreyer said:
“I’m not one to take a phone call during TV, but I think I should answer this one,”
“Hello, Mr. President?”
Which was met with crickets…
The reporter then said:
“I don’t think I can hear you…”
“Can you hear me, Mr. President.”
“Hello? Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. President. Are you there?”
Which was eventually met with:
“We’re here.”
“I want to say thanks to the firefighters and police officers, first responders,”
“They never take a break.”
Jill Biden then added:
“And God bless our troops for sure.”
Our president then finished out with:
“And by the way, we’re going to be talking to some of our troops later in the day, both here and abroad. I hope everybody remembers,”
“We remember them every single day. God bless our troops for real.”
Awkward…
