Priscilla Presley paid a tearful tribute to her daughter Lisa Marie during a Graceland memorial.
The former wife of the late Elvis Presley has publicly eulogized her daughter Lisa Marie Presley following her death. Priscilla said that her daughter had a “broken heart” and that she was “heartbroken” over her passing.
The 77-year-old emotionally said:
“I’m going to read something that my granddaughter wrote for all of you, and this says it all,”
“‘I have no idea how to put my mother into words. Truth is, there are too many. Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superhero to many people all over the world, but Mama was my icon, my role model, my superhero — in much more ways than one,'” said Priscilla. “‘Even now, I can’t get across everything there is to be understood or known about her, but as she always said, I’ll do my best.'”
Priscilla went on to say that her daughter died of a broken heart following the death of her son Benjamin Keogh.
She said:
“A broken heart was the doing of her death,” Priscilla said, reading a poem at the service. “Now, she is home where she always belonged, but my heart is missing her love”
RIP.
