‘Quantum Leap’ Star Dean Stockwell Dies Aged 85


Veteran American actor Dean Stockwell has died at the age of 85.

Stockwell was perhaps best known for his star role as Admiral ‘Al’ Calavicci in NBC sci-series Quantum Leap, which ran for five seasons in the early nineties. He also featured in Air Force One and two David Lynch films Dune and Blue Velvet.

According to TMZ, Stockwell died of natural causes peacefully in his sleep at home.

Stockwell received many Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work in the nineties. He was also nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ in the 1988 Oscars.
