During her stint as a guest host on The Daily Show, Sarah Silverman took aim at Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk in a scathing takedown of the billionaire businessman.

In a segment on Wednesday night’s show, the comedian didn’t hold back in her criticism of Musk, who she referred to as an “incel,” a shorthand for “involuntary celibate” often used to describe men who blame women for their lack of romantic relationships.

Silverman began by acknowledging the deluge of tweets from Musk that have inundated social media recently.

She joked that the billionaire magnate had asked his engineers to design a special algorithm for his tweets, which would make them go as viral as President Joe Biden’s.

“Because it behooves all of us to be privy to the fresh and original insights of the richest man in the world,” she said sarcastically.

The comedian then lambasted Musk for his not-so-clever wordplay about masturbation, which appeared on the screen. She called his move “the most pathetic thing” she had ever heard and remarked that “I don’t understand how someone can have 15 kids and still be an incel.”

Silverman’s quip about Musk’s sexual life was met with thunderous applause, but she didn’t stop there.

“I feel bad for him, I really do,” she said. “This man paid $44 billion to get the same insecurities that I have for free.”

Musk’s recent behavior has drawn criticism from a number of public figures, particularly after his tweets about Bitcoin caused the cryptocurrency’s value to plummet.

The Tesla CEO also drew fire after hosting Saturday Night Live in May 2021, with some cast members and viewers calling for his removal due to his controversial remarks about gender and race.

Despite the backlash, Musk remains one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, with a net worth estimated at around $160 billion. As of September 2021, he is the second-richest person in the world, behind only Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

As for Silverman, the comedian has a long history of speaking her mind on political and social issues, often using humor to address sensitive topics. In her recent appearance on The Daily Show, she made her opinions about Elon Musk and his actions crystal clear, delivering a sharp and incisive critique that drew both laughs and applause from the audience.
