Storage Wars’ Star Dies Aged 67

Renowned reality TV personality and actor Gunter Nezhoda has passed away at the age of 67 after battling lung cancer.

Gunter, who was widely known for his appearances on the popular A&E show “Storage Wars,” passed away on Tuesday night in Salt Lake City, according to his son, Rene Nezhoda.

Rene revealed to TMZ that his father lost his life due to complications arising from the chemotherapy treatment he received for lung cancer, which he was diagnosed with in September. The cancer caused holes in his lungs, and although he underwent emergency surgery in Utah recently, the doctors couldn’t do anything more to save him. Ricky, Gunter’s youngest son, was present by his side at the time of his passing.

During his career, Gunter appeared in seven episodes of “Storage Wars” between 2015 and 2019, and he even filmed an episode with Rene for the upcoming 14th season. Apart from reality TV, he was also an accomplished actor, having played bass for a number of musicians such as Kevin Dubrow, George Lynch, Michael Schenker, Pat Travers, and Leslie West.

Born in Austria and raised in Germany, Gunter moved to Las Vegas to pursue his dreams. In addition to his acting career, he was also a professional photographer, working with prominent companies such as Ford, Microsoft, and Big-O Tires. Some of his photographs were featured in magazines and advertisements.

Gunter’s untimely death has left many of his fans and colleagues in shock and disbelief. His co-star from “Storage Wars,” Rene, expressed his grief over the loss of his father on social media, saying, “Rest in peace Dad, I love you and will miss you forever.” Many others from the entertainment industry and his fans also took to social media to pay their respects and offer condolences to Gunter’s family.
