It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Caleb Willingham, the beloved husband of “1000-Lb. Sisters” star Tammy Slaton.
Tammy released a heartfelt statement regarding Caleb’s untimely death, expressing her devastation and love for her late husband. She said, “I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend, and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel, and now he truly watches over me. Our families are grateful for everyone’s sympathy and request privacy during this difficult time.”
Shirley Willingham, Caleb’s stepmother, confirmed the tragic news to TMZ but was unable to provide further details or the cause of Caleb’s passing. As fans of the reality show “1000-Lb. Sisters” know, Caleb, affectionately nicknamed “Killa K” or “Double K,” made occasional appearances alongside Tammy as they documented their ongoing struggle with weight. The couple met at a rehab facility in Ohio in 2022, where they sought treatment for obesity and subsequently got married.
Shortly after their wedding, Tammy shared her joy with People magazine, describing their special day as perfect and filled with love. She expressed, “I literally married my best friend.” However, The Sun reported in May that the couple had separated due to Caleb’s failure to follow his diet, and Tammy was reportedly considering filing for divorce.
Caleb was just 40 years old at the time of his passing.
Rest in peace, Caleb.
