Conor McGregor has landed himself again in hot water after being arrested by police in Ireland.
The UFC superstar, who seems to be more known for his antics outside of the Octagon these days, was detained by the Garda (police officers) in Dublin.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said:
“Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 30s in relation to an incident of dangerous driving in the Palmerstown area yesterday evening, Tuesday 22nd March 2022. The man was taken to Lucan Garda Station where he was later charged. He has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date.”
McGregor’s Bentley Continental GT, valued at around $200,000 was seized by officers after they detained him for dangerous driving.
The Irishman will now appear in court, facing a charge of dangerous driving that carries a maximum punishment of a fine of up to €5,000 ($7,000), which won’t impact McGregor’s bank balance too much, or up to six months imprisonment.
