“We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss.”
Lisa Marie Presley was an American singer, songwriter and actress. She was the only child of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. Born on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, Presley inherited her father’s love of music and began her own singing career in the early 2000s.
Presley was just nine years old when her father, Elvis Presley, passed away. She was raised by her mother, Priscilla Presley, and spent most of her childhood in Memphis and Los Angeles. As a child, she was heavily influenced by her father’s music and often listened to his records.
In the early 1990s, Presley decided to pursue a career in music. She began taking vocal lessons and started writing her own songs. In 2003, she released her debut album, “To Whom It May Concern”, which featured a mix of rock, pop, and country music. The album was a commercial success, and it reached the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was certified gold by the RIAA and its single “Lights Out” reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2005, Presley released her second album, “Now What”, which featured more of a rock sound than her debut album. The album received mixed reviews, but it still reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2007, she released her third album, “Storm & Grace”, which was a departure from her previous albums and featured a more traditional country sound. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for a Grammy award.
In addition to her music career, Presley also had a successful acting career. She made her acting debut in the 1994 film “The Client” and appeared in several other films and television shows, including “CSI: Miami” and “Mad Money”.
Presley was married four times, including to musician Danny Keough, actor Nicolas Cage and musician Michael Lockwood. In 2008, she gave birth to twin daughters, Harper and Finley.
Throughout her life, Presley was focused on her music and her family. She continued to perform and tour, and released several singles and EPs. She was also involved in several charitable organizations and was a vocal advocate for animal rights.
The 54-year-old, who had her own successful singing career, was rushed to hospital on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
She was discovered unresponsive, at her home in Calabasas, California, sources shared with TMZ.
Her mother has shared no details of the cause of death, but according to media, she suffered a cardiac arrest.
To quash speculation, it has now been reported that no drugs were found at the scene of Presley’s medical emergency
Lisa Marie Presley’s contributions to music and entertainment will be forever remembered, and her legacy will continue to live on through her family and fans. She leaves behind a lasting impact on the industry and will be deeply missed.
RIP.
