What kind of messed up have you got to be to hurl hot soup at an innocent restaurant worker’s face?

Thankfully, Amanda Martinez, 31, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with assault after her sickening attack was caught on CCTV.

The assault took place at Sol De Jalisco Mexican restaurant in Temple after Martinez complained her soup was so hot, it was melting the plastic container.

Restaurant manager Jannelle Broland apologized to Martinez and offered her a full refund or another meal. Martinez rejected the apology and threw the hot soup in Broland’s face before storming out.

Temple Deputy Police Chief Allen Teston said:

“We do not condone this type of behavior and hold our citizens to the highest standard. If a citizen believes they have received poor service. we advise them to remain civil until the problem is resolved.”

Broland spoke to TMZ after the attack:

“My first thought was, ‘What just happened?’” ‘Why, like, why is this happening?’ I realized I couldn’t open my eyes and I wiped away and I realized I was like, ‘Wow. She really just, she threw that at me.’”

Martinez is being held at the Bell County Jail after her arrest.
