Julia Wendell, a 21-year-old woman from Poland, claims to be Madeleine McCann, who went missing in 2007.
Despite presenting evidence that she believes proves her identity, including a defect in her iris and a similar mark on her face, Wendell has no interest in reuniting with her biological family if DNA tests confirm her identity.
During an appearance on the American talk show Dr. Phil, she stated that she wants nothing to do with the family she grew up with.
Wendell recounted her earliest memory to Dr. Phil, saying that it involved being near water, such as a beach or ocean, which is eerily similar to where Madeleine McCann was last seen.
When Dr. Phil questioned why she had not submitted her DNA to Scotland Yard for comparison to McCann’s, Wendell claimed she had attempted to contact the police force but was unsuccessful.
Wendell has also claimed to have been s*xually assaulted as a child and forced to take pills from the age of 7.
Her doctor, Fia Johansson, has been working with her and alleges that Wendell’s mother refused to take a DNA test and refused to answer any communication attempts.
