The 2024 Playoffs kicked off last weekend, and the Chiefs have emerged victorious against the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills. Their next challenge is to overcome the Baltimore Ravens to secure a spot in the final on February 11.
A win in their upcoming match on Sunday, January 28, would pit the Chiefs against either the Detroit Lions or the San Francisco 49ers in the ultimate showdown. The question on many minds is whether Taylor Swift will be present to witness the event.
Regrettably, it seems highly improbable that Swift will attend. This isn’t due to any rift between her and Chiefs player Kelce, as far as public knowledge goes. The reason lies in Swift’s conflicting schedule. She’s currently in the midst of The Eras Tour and hasn’t wrapped it up yet.
Although she’s completed the U.S. leg of her tour, Swift is gearing up to embark on the next phase, which takes her to Japan. She’s scheduled for four performances in Tokyo, from February 7 to February 10. This means that while she might technically be available on February 11, the logistics of traveling from Tokyo to Nevada in time for the Super Bowl final are daunting.
The journey, spanning nearly 13 hours, isn’t out of the realm of possibility. It’s noteworthy that Swift has previously devoted considerable effort to support Kelce amidst her busy touring schedule. Even if she misses this game, it might not be her last chance to see Kelce play in a Super Bowl final.
The Chiefs have a history of reaching the Super Bowl, having done so five times in their 64-year history – in 1967, 1970, 2020, 2021, and 2023. They’ve clinched the title thrice, in 1970, 2020, and 2023. Their recent triumphs could be indicative of more success in the future.
As it stands, whether the Chiefs advance to the final remains to be seen. If they do, Swift might need to figure out how to keep herself entertained on a long-haul flight.
