President Joe Biden will present the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the U.S., to 19 recipients, including Hillary Clinton and George Soros, at a White House ceremony. The honorees were selected for their exceptional contributions to the prosperity, values, and security of the United States and the world. Clinton, 77, will be recognized for her decades of public service as First Lady, Secretary of State, and U.S. Senator, as well as for her historic 2016 presidential bid.

George Soros, a 94-year-old philanthropist and Democratic donor, will also be honored for his work in promoting democracy, human rights, and social justice through his Open Society Foundations. While his financial support for left-leaning causes has drawn criticism, the White House praised his global contributions to progressive initiatives.
