Jon Bon Jovi is being hailed as a hero after helping to prevent a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville. The rock legend was filming a music video for his song “People’s House” on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge when he noticed the distressed woman. Using his extensive crisis training from his work with the JBJ Soul Foundation, Bon Jovi approached her and convinced her not to jump.

The singer, along with another bystander, assisted in pulling the woman over the railing to safety. The Nashville Fire Department and Metro Nashville Police Department arrived shortly after, with Police Chief John Drake praising Bon Jovi’s swift action, stating that it takes collective effort to keep everyone safe.
