Bride Reads Out Fiancé’s Affair Texts Instead of their Vows at Wedding

A bride ingeniously turned the tables on her unfaithful fiancé in a brilliantly executed move.

The pair had been together for several years, and what was anticipated to be the most joyous occasion of her life quickly soured when she received a heart-wrenching text the evening before their wedding.

Using pseudonyms Casey for herself and Alex for her fiancé, she was spending time with her bridesmaids when she suddenly received a series of messages from an anonymous sender. Accompanying the screenshots, the sender questioned: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”

The texts clearly showed Alex engaging in an affair with another woman in the lead-up to his marriage to Casey. “This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game,” one explicit message stated.

“Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do,” another message revealed.

A third message expressed: “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”

Casey shared in an essay for Body+Soul, “I burst into shamed and broken tears.” Her friends were furious, advocating for immediate action against him and to cancel the wedding. “But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him.” Despite the turmoil, Casey decided to proceed with the wedding as planned, with a twist to confront him publicly.

In a dramatic turn during the ceremony, Casey chose to reveal Alex’s infidelity by reading the messages aloud to their guests instead of her vows.

“It seems Alex is not who I thought he was,” the bride announced. “I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”

As Casey exposed his deceit, the color drained from Alex’s face, and he left the church hastily, followed by his best man.

Casey reflected on the day: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one hell of a party.”

The night was undoubtedly filled with an abundance of tequila shots.
