Many of the aggressive messages questioned Jaime’s understanding of what his father would have wanted and even urged him to harm himself, which he pointed out was particularly cruel given his father’s death by suicide in 2017.
Jaime expressed concerns for his safety at Linkin Park’s upcoming comeback show, unsure of how fans might react if they recognize him. Despite his fears, he has decided to attend the concert, seeking closure after his father’s passing. He shared that he would be cautious, as he was uncomfortable with the general admission setting and the possibility of encountering aggressive fans.
Jaime’s criticisms have also centered on Armstrong’s alleged connections to Scientology and her support for convicted rapist Danny Masterson. These controversies struck a nerve with fans, especially since Chester had openly discussed his experience as a survivor of sexual abuse. Jaime has been outspoken about feeling betrayed by Linkin Park’s choices, particularly during Suicide Prevention Month.
