Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, a 23-year-old Colombian hitwoman known as “La Muñeca” or “The Doll,” has been arrested in connection with multiple murders, including the ambush killing of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus. Police allege Rodriguez lured her former partner to meet under the pretense of resolving a money dispute, where two hitmen fatally shot him. The ambush was reportedly orchestrated by Rodriguez, tied to the Los de la M gang.
The arrest occurred in Barrancabermeja, where police detained Rodriguez alongside two accomplices, Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, nicknamed “Fat Hitwoman,” and a third suspect, “Leopoldo.” Law enforcement seized firearms during the operation and are investigating whether they were used in the killings. Police described the arrests as a significant step in dismantling criminal networks responsible for recent homicides.
Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera credited the arrests with restoring calm to the region, emphasizing their importance in curbing gang violence. Rodriguez is accused of working within a small but deadly group of hitmen active in the area.
The case has captivated the public, with social media users reacting to Rodriguez’s striking mugshots and speculating about a potential Netflix series. While the public response has mixed humor and intrigue, authorities are focused on preparing formal charges against Rodriguez and her co-conspirators.
