Osceola County Sheriff's Office

A pizza delivery driver in Florida, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, has been charged with attempted murder and other serious crimes after allegedly stabbing a pregnant customer 14 times over dissatisfaction with a $2 tip. The incident occurred at a hotel in Kissimmee, where Alvelo delivered a $33.10 pizza order. After the customer requested change for a $50 bill, Alvelo reportedly became upset with the resulting tip and later returned to the hotel room with an armed accomplice.

According to police, the pair broke into the room, with the male suspect forcing the victim’s boyfriend into the bathroom and destroying his phone. Meanwhile, Alvelo allegedly ransacked the room before turning on the victim, stabbing her multiple times with a pocketknife. The attack only ceased when the male suspect urged Alvelo to leave. The victim, who was protecting her five-year-old daughter during the ordeal, sustained severe injuries, including a punctured lung, and later learned she was a few weeks pregnant. She is now in stable condition.

Alvelo was arrested and remains in jail with bail set at $55,000. The male accomplice has yet to be identified. Marco’s Pizza, the restaurant Alvelo worked for, expressed deep sadness over the incident and is cooperating with the investigation.

Authorities have called the attack an isolated incident, but it raises concerns about safety and the volatility of confrontations in service jobs. Alvelo faces charges including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, and aggravated assault.
