A diagnosed psychopath, who goes by Vic on TikTok, recently shared her childhood fascination with morbid historical events and grim fairytales. In a viral video, Vic detailed how her interests as a child were particularly focused on dark subjects like the Holocaust, Tsar Nicholas II, and the Aztec and Inca empires, especially their practice of human sacrifice. She recalled how, during a school trip to Washington D.C., she chose to visit the Holocaust Museum over the Smithsonian, reflecting her early interest in such intense historical themes.
Vic explained that she first became intrigued by the Holocaust in third grade after finding a book on the subject at a school book fair. She also developed an interest in the tragic history of Russia’s royal family, particularly Anastasia, and even wrote a paper on her. Additionally, she was drawn to the grim original versions of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, which included darker themes of murder and cannibalism, far from the sanitized versions most children know.
Her curiosity didn’t stop there, as Vic revealed she was also fascinated by Greek mythology and ancient civilizations known for their violent rituals. Her fascination with these historical events and stories was unusual for her age, and she now reflects on how these morbid interests were part of her childhood, shaped by her diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder, commonly referred to as psychopathy.
Vic’s video has sparked interest and conversation about how children with certain personality disorders may develop different interests compared to their peers. Through social media, she aims to provide insight into her experiences, shedding light on her diagnosis and how it influenced her development and perspective growing up.
