Domino’s Recalls It’s Garlic and Herb Dip, But Fans Are More Concerned About How Many Calories It Has

Domino’s has withdrawn its popular garlic and herb dip after discovering that some batches contained traces of peanuts, posing a serious risk to people with peanut allergies. The company has recalled both its Garlic & Herb and Honey & Mustard dips after customers reported allergic reactions, including itchy mouths and nausea. The recall has sparked concern among allergy sufferers, and Domino’s has faced criticism for not publicizing the issue more widely.

In addition to the health risks, fans have expressed shock at the high-calorie content of the dip. A 25g pot contains 169 calories, while the larger 100g pot has a whopping 675 calories—more than three slices of Domino’s cheese and tomato pizza. Despite this, the dip remains a fan favorite, with many customers admitting they consume it without considering the calorie count.

Some customers have taken to social media to express their surprise at the nutritional information, with one saying they were “devastated” to learn the calorie content, and others joking about drinking the dip straight from the pot. However, Domino’s maintains that their dips are intended for sharing and encourages customers to enjoy them in moderation.

Domino’s has yet to release a statement regarding the recall and the calorie concerns, but the company continues to provide nutritional information on its website and app. For now, customers with peanut allergies are advised to be cautious, and fans of the dip are left to decide whether the taste is worth the indulgence.
