Drake has responded after Kendrick Lamar performed his Not Like Us diss track during the Super Bowl halftime show, calling the accusations against him “unfounded.” The track, which includes the controversial line “Certified Loverboy, Certified P**phile,”* was performed live in front of over 100 million viewers, making it one of the most high-profile moments of their ongoing rap feud.

Drake, currently involved in a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), released a statement through his lawyers before the performance. He accused the label of prioritizing profits over artist well-being, saying, “UMG is masquerading as a champion of artistic freedom… but there is nothing entertaining about pedophilia or child abuse in the real world.” He also expressed confidence that evidence presented at trial would expose what he called UMG’s “gross negligence.”

Lamar’s halftime show performance took things even further, as he stared directly into the camera while rapping, “Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young.” He also brought out tennis legend Serena Williams, someone long rumored to have dated Drake, adding another layer of personal jabs to the performance. Social media erupted, with one fan tweeting, “Kendrick Lamar just called Drake a p**phile on live TV at the Super Bowl. This is insane.”*

Despite the controversy, Lamar’s diss track has already won multiple Grammys, including Record of the Year. Drake, meanwhile, has not directly addressed Lamar, focusing instead on his legal battle with UMG. The feud, which has escalated over the past year, shows no signs of slowing down.
