Elon Musk Says He Found 14 ‘Magic Money Computers’ That Make Money ‘Out Of Thin Air’

Elon Musk has made yet another bold claim—this time, about what he calls “magic money computers” hidden within the U.S. government. In a recent podcast interview with Senator Ted Cruz, Musk alleged that he and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have uncovered 14 government systems capable of generating digital money out of thin air. According to Musk, these computers are responsible for issuing payments without proper oversight, leading to financial discrepancies in federal spending.

Musk claims these systems are spread across multiple government departments, including the U.S. Treasury, the Department of Health and Human Services, the State Department, and the Department of Defense. He suggested that the financial records provided to government officials may be off by as much as five to ten percent, raising concerns about accountability in public spending. “They just send money out of nothing,” Musk stated, arguing that these systems essentially fabricate funds before distributing them globally.

His remarks come as he continues his role in the Trump administration, overseeing DOGE alongside entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. The department’s goal is to streamline government operations by cutting jobs and reducing costs, with a self-imposed deadline to shut down by July 4, 2026. Musk’s claims have sparked debate, with some questioning the legitimacy of his statements while others demand an investigation into these so-called “magic money” systems.

For now, no official response has been issued from the federal agencies Musk has accused. However, with Musk’s growing influence in Washington and his reputation for stirring controversy, this latest claim is unlikely to fade away quietly. Whether these computers truly exist—or if this is just another headline-grabbing statement—remains to be seen.
