Vivian Jenna Wilson, the daughter of Elon Musk, has spoken out against her father’s recent claims about her gender-affirming care and their relationship. In her first public interview, Wilson refuted Musk’s statements that he was “tricked” into allowing her to undergo gender-affirming medical treatment when she was 16. Musk made these allegations during a livestream with clinical psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, labeling gender-affirming care as “child sterilization” and “evil.”

Wilson, who legally changed her name and gender in 2022, asserted that Musk was fully aware of the implications of the medical documents he signed. She criticized her father for lying about her and misrepresenting her experiences to millions of people. Wilson also recounted her challenging upbringing, describing Musk as “cold” and “very quick to anger,” and alleging he was largely absent from her life, only around “maybe 10 percent of the time.”

In response to Musk’s statements on social media, Wilson took to Threads to address his false claims about her childhood and identity. She accused Musk of fabricating stories to gain sympathy and emphasized that he had little understanding of her life due to his frequent absences. Despite Musk’s attempts to undermine her, Wilson remains steadfast in her identity, legally recognized as a woman in California.

Wilson’s statements shed light on the strained relationship with her father and highlight broader issues of discrimination and misunderstanding faced by the LGBTQIA+ community. The public feud has drawn significant attention, prompting discussions about the importance of accurate representation and support for transgender individuals.
