Former CIA agent Joe McMoneagle has claimed that remote viewing sessions he participated in during his time with the agency provided evidence that life once existed on Mars. Speaking on the American Alchemy podcast, McMoneagle described an experiment in which he was given coordinates to “view” using his mind. He said he saw enormous pyramid-like structures and towering humanoid beings taking shelter from a violent storm, suggesting they were struggling to survive as the planet’s atmosphere deteriorated.

McMoneagle initially believed he was viewing locations on Earth, but he later learned the target was Mars—one million years in the past. He admitted frustration over the fact that he couldn’t verify the information, but years later, when he asked for recent images of the same coordinates, he claimed to have found a pyramid-shaped structure at the edge of an impact crater, reinforcing his belief that intelligent life once existed on the Red Planet.

According to McMoneagle, the Martian civilization may have been wiped out when a massive cosmic event stripped the planet of its atmosphere. He theorized that something passing through the solar system could have triggered the catastrophe, leaving only ruins behind. He also suggested that the pyramid-like structures were artificial, arguing that if they had existed before the impact, they would have been destroyed.

Though the CIA’s interest in remote viewing has long been controversial, McMoneagle’s claims have reignited speculation about Mars’ past. While mainstream science remains skeptical, discoveries of unusual geological formations on Mars continue to fuel curiosity. Whether his visions hold any real truth remains a mystery, but they add another layer to the ongoing search for evidence of extraterrestrial life.
