Garth Brooks is facing a lawsuit from a former makeup artist who has accused him of raping her in a hotel room. According to the woman, she worked as a makeup and hairstylist for both Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, for years before Brooks allegedly hired her directly. The lawsuit details an incident in May 2019, when she accompanied him to Los Angeles for a Grammy tribute. She claims that after arriving, she discovered only one hotel room was booked and that Brooks later appeared naked, dragging her to a bed where he r*ped her.

The woman also alleges that prior to this incident, Brooks sexually harassed her on several occasions, including one instance where he exposed himself and put her hands on his erect penis while making explicit remarks. She claims that Brooks repeatedly fondled her and masturbated in front of her while she worked. Despite the trauma, she says she continued working for him due to financial hardship.

The lawsuit is seeking damages from Brooks, and as of now, Brooks’ representatives have not responded to the allegations. The claims add significant legal pressure on the country star, with the woman emphasizing the power imbalance and her financial vulnerability during the alleged incidents.

This case brings to light concerns around workplace safety, particularly in industries where personal boundaries are often blurred due to the nature of the work. The accusations are serious and follow a broader societal reckoning with abuse of power in professional environments.
