Aaron Goodwin, a longtime cast member of Ghost Adventures, was allegedly the target of a murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by his wife, Victoria Goodwin. Authorities claim Victoria had been in contact with an inmate in a Florida prison since October 2024, where she discussed her desire to have Goodwin killed rather than seek a divorce. She reportedly offered $11,515 for the hit and provided details on her husband’s location while he was filming in California.

The plot was uncovered when corrections officers confiscated the inmate’s contraband phone, which contained incriminating messages. In one text, the inmate allegedly asked the hired hitman for an update, writing, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … Was it done?” Victoria, however, has denied any real intent to harm her husband, telling investigators that she was only “daydreaming” about life without him and believed the money was for a cellphone, not a murder plot.

Victoria was arrested in Nevada on March 6 and charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bail and is set to appear in court on Tuesday. Sources close to Goodwin say he was “blindsided and devastated,” believing he was in a happy marriage.

Goodwin, known for his ghost-hunting work alongside Zak Bagans, married Victoria in August 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. Bagans has since expressed support for his co-star, calling this an “emotional time” as Goodwin processes the shocking turn of events.
