Spiranac pointed out that Swift has helped boost the NFL’s brand value by nearly $1 billion since dating Kelce. She argued that the league has been using Swift’s popularity for marketing, making it unfair to criticize her for simply supporting her partner. “The amount of times she’s shown at a game or posted on social media is out of her control,” she added.
Tennis legend Serena Williams also defended Swift, posting on X, “I love you @taylorswift13, don’t listen to those booo!!” Despite the negative crowd reaction, Swift stayed to watch the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Eagles before heading into the offseason with Kelce.
