A hacker who played a deepfake video of Donald Trump kissing Elon Musk’s feet on government TVs has been identified, according to officials. The AI-generated clip was broadcast in the cafeteria of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), showing Trump kneeling before Musk while a caption read, “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”
HUD officials confirmed that the individual responsible was escorted off the premises and is facing potential legal action. While their identity has not been publicly revealed, a spokesperson suggested the hacker had ties to the department and had manipulated the agency’s television system to air the footage.

The viral clip sparked mixed reactions online, with some finding it humorous and others calling it “disgusting.” Observant viewers quickly noted flaws in the AI-generated imagery, including Musk appearing to have “two left feet.” Some Democratic lawmakers even joked about the stunt, with one writing, “Not all heroes wear capes.”
The hack comes at a time of heightened controversy surrounding Musk’s role in Trump’s administration. As head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has drawn criticism for his mass layoffs and controversial email demanding federal employees justify their jobs. Despite backlash, Trump has continued to praise Musk’s approach to government reform.
