Julia Roberts introduced Dave Matthews Band, praising their “spontaneous abandon,” as the group performed live, engaging the entire audience. Dr. Dre inducted Mary J. Blige, acknowledging her role in shaping the hip-hop soul genre, and Chuck D, alongside The Roots, paid tribute to Kool & the Gang. Ozzy Osbourne, entering the Hall for a second time, received a tribute from Jelly Roll and Billy Idol.
