Blake Lively has filed a detailed lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, hostile work conditions, and a coordinated smear campaign against her. The allegations include Baldoni and the film’s producer, Jamey Heath, adding “gratuitous sexual content” to the script without her consent, including scenes involving nudity and intimate acts that were later removed after her objections. Lively also accused Baldoni of improvising intimate moments on set without proper discussion or an intimacy coordinator.
Additional claims describe a lack of boundaries on set, with Baldoni and Heath allegedly engaging in inappropriate conversations about their personal lives and pornography addiction. Heath is also accused of showing Lively a graphic, non-consensual video of his wife during childbirth. Lively raised concerns about these incidents and the overall workplace environment in a January 2024 meeting attended by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, resulting in agreements to address her grievances.
The lawsuit further accuses Baldoni of targeting Lively in a calculated campaign to damage her reputation during the movie’s promotion. Subpoenaed text messages suggest his PR team discussed strategies to undermine her publicly. Lively has described the experience as emotionally distressing for her and her family, expressing hopes that her lawsuit will expose harmful industry practices.
Baldoni has strongly denied the allegations, with his lawyer calling them categorically false and claiming they are an attempt to deflect blame for controversies surrounding the film. Wayfarer Studios, also named in the lawsuit, has maintained that they acted only in response to media inquiries and not proactively against Lively. The case continues to generate significant public attention as both sides prepare for the legal battle ahead.
