A luxury cruise turned into an unexpected spectacle when over 30 social media influencers had to be rescued from a $4 million Lamborghini Tecnomar yacht that began sinking off the coast of Miami Beach on Saturday. Despite the dramatic ordeal, many of the bikini-clad passengers treated the moment as another photo op—snapping selfies as they waited for help.

The yacht, which began to tilt near the upscale Star Island around 5 p.m., quickly drew attention as videos surfaced showing the group standing in life vests on the deck of the half-submerged vessel. While the U.S. Coast Guard and a passing good Samaritan vessel scrambled to evacuate all 32 people safely, many of the influencers made sure to document the event for their followers.

Footage from the scene showed passengers giggling, swearing, and even clutching prized possessions like laptops and high-end tequila bottles. One clip featured a former Miss America competitor cradling a $350 bottle of Clase Azul Gold while someone offscreen shouted, “The baby is safe!” Another woman filmed the vertical yacht as it continued to sink, captioning her disbelief with a casual “How did this happen?”

The Tecnomar, a rare yacht crafted by Lamborghini with only 11 in existence, ended up nearly submerged, though authorities successfully towed it from a busy shipping lane. No injuries were reported, but the owner of the vessel has not yet been identified, and the cause of the sinking remains unknown.

For many of those onboard, it seems the harrowing incident was less a near-disaster and more of a viral moment. Rescue complete, the influencers walked away from the sinking scene—safe, dry, and no doubt ready to upload.
