Jenna Ortega is officially back as Wednesday Addams as Netflix has released the first teaser for Wednesday Season 2. The hit Addams Family spin-off, which debuted in 2022 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most-watched English-language series, returns this year with a darker and more complex storyline. Ortega, who is now also a producer on the show, reunites with familiar faces, including Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán.

The teaser, though brief, confirms that Wednesday will once again face Tyler (Hunter Doohan), the villain from Season 1. Fans erupted with excitement online, with some saying they had been “waiting almost three years” for this moment. Meanwhile, others expressed disappointment that the teaser didn’t reveal more, particularly the fate of Enid (Myers).

Season 2 introduces several new cast members, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Owen Painter, and Evie Templeton. In a major nostalgic twist, Christopher Lloyd, the original Uncle Fester from The Addams Family films, will also make a guest appearance. Other notable stars joining the cast include Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, and Frances O’Connor.

Netflix has yet to confirm an exact release date, but fans can expect Wednesday to return later this year. With showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar promising a season that’s “bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine,” anticipation for Ortega’s return continues to grow.
