In an interview with The Times, Fox explained that she wanted their relationship to remain low-key, but it quickly became public without her consent. She now believes she was being used as a “pawn” during their short-lived romance.
Fox revealed that West, whom she referred to as “the artist” in her memoir Down the Drain, would choose her outfits and even offered to pay for a breast augmentation, which she found unsettling. She also mentioned that he asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Reflecting on their time together, Fox said, “I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend.”
The pair dated briefly from late 2021 to early 2022, making headlines during their whirlwind trips to places like Paris, where they wore matching leather outfits. However, Fox later revealed in her memoir that they spent most of that time arguing.
Since their split, Fox has moved on, publicly coming out as a lesbian earlier this year in a playful TikTok video. Though Kanye has yet to respond to her recent comments, it’s clear that Fox is eager to move past the relationship and focus on her own identity.
