Kid Rock has announced plans to bring comedian Bill Maher, a longtime Trump critic, to the White House for dinner with the former president. Speaking on The Glenn Beck Podcast, Rock said he hopes the meeting will help “unite the country” by showing that two people with opposing political views can still have a civil conversation.
Maher, who has openly criticized Trump for years, recently mocked him during a televised speech, calling him a “little boy who did not get enough love.” Despite Maher’s harsh words, Rock believes the comedian is “more reasonable than a lot of people on the right would think” and insists that bringing him to dine with Trump could set an example of finding common ground.

Rock revealed that he pitched the idea while appearing on Maher’s podcast and was surprised when Trump agreed to it. He emphasized that while many others are more deserving of a seat at the table, this moment could serve as a symbolic step toward easing political tensions.

It remains unclear whether Maher is aware of or willing to accept the invitation. However, Rock’s effort to bridge the political divide, even in a small way, has sparked debate about whether such meetings can actually help reduce the polarization in the U.S.
