In 2014, Robert Hart tragically died after being punched at a Snoop Dogg concert at the Parklife festival in Manchester. The incident occurred when a blow-up doll struck his girlfriend, Gemma, leading Hart to confront the person responsible. Despite stating that he didn’t want any trouble, a scuffle broke out, and Robert was punched in the head. He was hospitalized but sadly passed away five days later due to his injuries.
Gemma described how the inflatable doll hit her and covered her in mud. Robert turned around and confronted the person, but as things escalated, he was knocked to the ground. Gemma recalled how Robert apologized to her in a dazed state, but he was far from alright. Robert, a Manchester City fan and music lover, was only 26 years old when he died.
Nearly a decade later, police are still looking for the suspect, described as a mixed-race man in his mid-20s, around 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a muscular build and short, dark hair shaved at the sides. Authorities have renewed appeals for information, offering a £50,000 reward for any leads that help bring the responsible person to justice.
Detective Inspector Madeline Kelly emphasized the importance of coming forward, urging those with information to help bring closure to Robert’s family. She also requested festival-goers to share any photos or videos taken near the main stage that evening, in hopes of uncovering new evidence.
