Masanobu Sato, a Japanese man, set the world record for the longest recorded session of self-pleasure, lasting an astonishing 9 hours and 58 minutes. The feat took place during the ninth annual “Masturbate-a-thon,” a San Francisco event aimed at breaking taboos around sexuality while raising funds for charity. Sato, who also held the previous record of 9 hours and 33 minutes, credited his success to a mix of rigorous physical training, a vivid imagination, and an array of aids from the sex toy company he worked for.

In preparation for the event, Sato revealed he gained muscle mass through swimming and relied on diverse sensations to avoid numbness during the session. Reflecting on his accomplishment, he acknowledged his genetic advantages and thanked his family for what he described as “good DNA.”

Interestingly, Sato’s record has since been unofficially challenged by Drake Hardy, who claimed to have exceeded the time by 12 minutes in 2018 but without official verification. Hardy expressed interest in competing formally, aiming to promote open conversations about sexual health and freedom.

Sato’s achievement, while unconventional, remains unbeaten. Events like the Masturbate-a-thon continue to draw attention to topics often considered taboo, blending lighthearted competition with advocacy for destigmatization.
