YouTuber Dara Tah and fellow content creator Matt James dared to spend the night on Poveglia Island, a place notoriously known as one of the world’s most haunted locations. The island, located between Venice and Lido, was once used as a quarantine zone for plague victims and later housed an asylum where horrific experiments were allegedly conducted on patients. The island has been closed to the public for years, but the duo managed to sneak onto the island in January to explore.

Armed with ghost-hunting equipment, including a Spirit Box and thermal gun, they ventured through the overgrown ruins of the asylum, making their way to the Bell Tower, believed to be the island’s most haunted spot. During their investigation, they detected strange heat signatures and picked up eerie Italian phrases on their Spirit Box, including words like “incident” and “exploded.” Though they experienced no physical ghost encounters, the unsettling atmosphere and mysterious events left them shaken.

After leaving the island, Dara noticed unexplained red scratches on his hands, and their friend Manu, who helped translate the Italian words, had his bag searched for explosives at the airport. Despite these strange occurrences, Dara remains skeptical about ghosts, though he admits the experience was difficult to explain.
