Marvel actress Carrie Bernans experienced a horrific start to the New Year after being hit by a car during New Year’s Eve celebrations in NYC. Bernans, known for her roles in “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Endgame,” was reportedly walking with a friend and stopped at a food truck when a car crashed into it, rendering her unconscious and pinning her underneath.

The accident, which occurred on West 34th Street and 9th Avenue, was severe enough to be declared a mass casualty incident, affecting not only Bernans but also three NYPD officers among nine others. The 44-year-old driver involved in the crash is now in custody at Bellevue Hospital, with indications that the police were chasing the car before the incident.
