Melania Trump Makes Deal With Amazon For $28,000,000

Melania Trump has secured a $28 million deal with Amazon for an upcoming documentary about her life, marking one of the largest documentary licensing deals in the streaming platform’s history. The total agreement is reportedly worth $40 million, with Melania receiving the majority of the payout.

The documentary’s title and specific content have not been publicly disclosed, but it is expected to focus on her years as First Lady and her marriage to Donald Trump. The project reportedly attracted bids from major studios, with Disney offering $14 million and Paramount $4 million, but Amazon ultimately outbid them.

Melania allegedly sought sponsorship from billionaire CEOs during Trump’s inauguration, offering them credit in the film’s closing sequence in exchange for $10 million donations. Additionally, those who contributed were promised invitations to the documentary’s premiere.

Amazon has stated they believe the documentary will be a hit, while controversy has already surrounded the project due to its choice of director—Brett Ratner, who has not directed a film since 2015. Amazon has yet to announce a release date but has promised to reveal more details as production progresses.
