Michael Jackson’s Son, Blanket, Makes Rare Appearance In Family Photo

Michael Jackson’s youngest son, commonly known to the public as Blanket, has been captured in a seldom-seen family photo with his Jackson relatives. Now 21 and going by the name Bigi, he was photographed with Jermaine Jackson’s sons Randy Jackson Jr., Donte? Jackson, Royal Jackson, and Jermajesty Jackson, as well as Norwegian rapper Omer Bhatti.

The group was pictured enjoying themselves in what seemed to be a bar, with Bhatti, 38, posting the image on his Instagram on Sunday (January 28). He captioned the photo with “Lately” and a palm tree emoji. Fans quickly took to the comments to express their delight, with one user saying: “Thank you for sharing! Lovely to see Bigi!!!” Another fan noted Bigi’s resemblance to his father, commenting: “Bigi looks just like MJ”, while a third praised Bhatti for his longstanding friendship with the Jackson family, saying, “It’s amazing to see this, as a child you carried them in your arms and you are still a loyal friend to them.”

Bigi is the youngest of Michael Jackson’s three children, with siblings Prince, 26, and Paris, now 25. Since Jackson’s passing in June 2009 at age 50, Bigi has mostly stayed away from the public eye. He was last publicly seen in August of the previous year, joining his brother Prince in Las Vegas to celebrate what would have been their father’s 65th birthday.

The brothers made a rare appearance at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, home to the Michael Jackson ONE show by Cirque du Soleil. They participated in a Q&A session and posed for photos with fans. The event, which launched in February 2013, celebrated its 10th anniversary in Vegas last year. Jamie King, a friend and choreographer of Jackson, told PEOPLE, “Everything [Jackson] does is with a childlike heart. For Michael, every day was fresh, every day was new, every day had to be bigger and better than the last one.”

Bigi was also seen in October 2022 at the annual Thriller Night Halloween Party, hosted by Prince at the Jackson family home in Encino, California. While he generally keeps a low profile, Bigi is working towards a career in film, aiming to become a producer and director. His short film, “Rochelles,” is set for release in 2024.

In a rare 2021 interview with Good Morning Britain, Bigi spoke about his commitment to climate change and his ambition to make a positive impact. “That’s what each of us [siblings] want to do — make things that people enjoy but also benefit their lives,” he stated. “I do think it’s important we all know about it. We have some work to do but our generation knows how important it is.
