In the ongoing investigation into Matthew Perry’s tragic death, five individuals have been arrested, shedding light on a massive Hollywood drug ring that allegedly exploited the actor’s struggles with addiction. Perry, who passed away in October 2023 from a ketamine overdose, was reportedly targeted by a criminal network that included medical professionals and drug traffickers. The arrests include Dr. Salvador Plasencia, a physician, and Jasveen Sangha, a notorious drug dealer known as “The Ketamine Queen.”

The investigation revealed that Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, along with another doctor, Mark Chavez, and a broker named Erik Fleming, were also involved in supplying Perry with ketamine. Plasencia and Sangha are accused of leading the operation, with text messages indicating that they were well aware of the harm they were causing. Sangha, who ran what was described as a “drug-selling emporium,” attempted to cover her tracks by instructing Fleming to delete their communications after Perry’s death.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the network profited from Perry’s addiction, selling him ketamine at exorbitant prices. The DEA uncovered evidence that Plasencia had even injected Perry with illegal ketamine, causing severe physical reactions, and left additional vials for his assistant to administer, despite his lack of medical training. The investigation also revealed that Perry was charged $2,000 for vials of ketamine that originally cost around $12.

This drug ring’s exploitation of Perry’s vulnerability highlights the dark side of Hollywood’s underground drug trade. Plasencia faces up to 120 years in federal prison, while Sangha could be sentenced to life. The arrests mark a significant step in holding those responsible accountable, as authorities continue to investigate the broader network involved in supplying illegal drugs to Hollywood celebrities.
