Netflix has decided to “shelve” a planned documentary about the mysterious 1994 disappearance of George Phillip Gall, who vanished after being seen near a goth-themed nightclub in Dayton, Ohio. The documentary, titled Vampires of Gem City, was set to explore Gall’s case, which resurfaced in 2008 when retired police lieutenant David Williams claimed the nightclub was associated with an occult ritual involving Gall. Williams alleged that Gall was beheaded in a ritual, with his head sold as a relic, and that the nightclub was a hub for a “vampire-like” crowd believed to be the second-largest coven in the U.S.

The documentary aimed to follow these leads and uncover more about Gall’s mysterious disappearance and the alleged vampire coven. However, the project has been halted, and Gall’s family, who had been collaborating with the producers, was informed that the series would not proceed. Gall’s wife, Helen, expressed disappointment, as she hoped the documentary could bring new attention to the case and possibly provide answers regarding her husband’s fate.

Gall’s disappearance remains an unsolved mystery, and Netflix has yet to comment on the reasons behind canceling the documentary. The decision leaves many questions unanswered for both Gall’s family and those intrigued by the chilling case.
