Adapted from Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel, the six-part murder mystery centers around a wealthy Nantucket family and a wedding that takes a dark turn when a body washes up on the beach. The cast, including Liev Schreiber and Dakota Fanning, has received praise, but some viewers have called the show “inappropriate” and “perverted.” Kidman herself described the ensemble as “amazing,” while Schreiber noted the series’ “healthy dose of perversity.”
