Next Prime Minister For Canada Says They Will Win Trade War As He Immediately Attacks Trump

Mark Carney, Canada’s incoming Prime Minister, wasted no time in attacking Donald Trump, vowing that Canada will win the ongoing trade war with the U.S. In his acceptance speech, Carney criticized Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods and rejected the suggestion that Canada should become the 51st U.S. state, calling it a direct threat to the nation’s sovereignty. “America is not Canada, and Canada never, ever will be part of America in any way, shape, or form,” he declared.

Trump recently imposed a 25% tariff on all Canadian imports and an additional 10% tariff on Canadian energy products, blaming Canada for failing to stop the flow of fentanyl into the U.S. In response, Carney accused the U.S. of wanting to take Canada’s “resources, water, land, and country” and warned that allowing Trump’s policies to succeed would “destroy our way of life.” He called on Canadians to unite and prepare for tough economic times ahead.

Outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau echoed Carney’s sentiments in his farewell speech, stating that Canada has endured “crisis after crisis” but has always emerged stronger. He emphasized that Canadians are now facing an “existential challenge” from their closest neighbor and must stand together. Carney, who previously served as the governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, now faces the challenge of leading his country through escalating tensions with its largest trading partner.

With Carney’s aggressive stance, the U.S.-Canada trade war appears to be intensifying. His leadership will be closely watched as he attempts to counter Trump’s economic pressure while preparing Canada for its next general election in the coming weeks.
