An OnlyFans model has been charged with second-degree murder after a man died following an extreme fetish encounter. Michaela Rylaarsdam, 31, was arrested in February in connection to the death of 56-year-old Michael Dale, who allegedly requested a BDSM experience that involved being wrapped in saran wrap “like a mummy.” The encounter, which took place in April 2023, was reportedly Rylaarsdam’s first time engaging in fetish content, which she planned to record for her page.
According to police, Dale also requested that glue be poured into his eyes and women’s boots be glued to his feet. During the four-hour session, while appearing intoxicated, he was wrapped in plastic, restrained, and at some point, a bag was allegedly placed over his head and secured with duct tape for at least eight minutes. Rylaarsdam eventually called for help when Dale became unresponsive, but he was declared brain dead the next day and later taken off life support.
Authorities claim that text messages on Rylaarsdam’s phone confirm Dale’s requests, though prosecutors argue there is “no indication” that he asked for anything that would obstruct his breathing. They also found videos showing Rylaarsdam performing a sex act on Dale while he appeared unresponsive with a bag over his head. She has denied placing or securing the bag, and her defense attorney insists there was no intent to kill, calling the encounter “consensual” and stating that Rylaarsdam acted appropriately once she realized something was wrong.
Rylaarsdam has pleaded not guilty and remains in jail without bail. She is set to appear in court next week as the case continues, with prosecutors arguing that, regardless of consent, the events leading to Dale’s death justify the charges against her.
