During an orca performance at SeaWorld San Antonio, guests in the splash zone experienced an unexpected and unpleasant surprise when a killer whale defecated and then splashed water mixed with feces onto the audience. Video footage showed the orca defecating near the surface of the water before leaping and crashing down, sending the feces onto onlookers. Some visitors were visibly upset, with one young boy appearing traumatized by the incident.

Guests were taken to a decontamination area where they were provided with towels, soap, and bottled water to clean themselves. Samantha King, who witnessed the event, described the experience as shocking, explaining that while they expected to get wet, they didn’t anticipate the foul-smelling water. The video of the incident quickly went viral, with social media users commenting on the orca’s intelligence, suggesting the animal might have acted deliberately.

SeaWorld released a statement apologizing for the incident and emphasizing their commitment to guest safety. They stated that the park followed established health protocols and would review their procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Some online viewers found humor in the situation, while others expressed concerns about the treatment of orcas in captivity, calling for the animals to be returned to the wild.
