The family of “Pawn Stars” celebrity Rick Harrison is mourning the loss of his son, Adam Harrison, whose death has recently been reported.
TMZ first broke the news of Adam’s untimely demise on Friday (January 19), but specific details about the circumstances and timing of his death are still unclear, leaving many questions unanswered.
According to current reports, Adam, aged 39, passed away due to an overdose. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is actively investigating the case.
Laura Herlovich, the Harrison family’s representative, confirmed the cause of Adam’s death and shared a statement from the family: “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
Rick Harrison also paid tribute to his son on Instagram, sharing a photo with Adam and expressing his love to his 846,000 followers: “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”
Adam, Rick’s second child, led a private life away from the limelight, seldom appearing on the “Pawn Stars” reality series or engaging in social media. Initially involved in the family’s World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, featured on the History Channel’s “Pawn Stars,” Adam eventually chose a different path and distanced himself from the family business.
Despite the show’s long run of 22 seasons since 2009, Adam was not a regular feature. Reports about his profession are varied, with some suggesting he worked as a plumber. His older brother, Corey Harrison, 40, is a central figure in the reality series. Rick had Corey with his first wife, Kim, to whom he was married from 1982 to 1985. The family also includes a half-brother, Jake, shared with Rick’s second wife, Tracy, from their marriage spanning 1986 to 2011. Jake has appeared on “Pawn Stars” as well.
Rick Harrison has been married four times, including his marriage to Deanna Burditt from 2013 to 2020 and his current marriage to Amanda Palmer since 2021.
The World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a cornerstone of the reality show, is a family-run business established in Las Vegas in 1989. It has been a significant part of the Harrisons’ life and their rise to fame, as well as a notable aspect of American popular culture.
The 23rd season of “Pawn Stars” is expected to premiere later this year. Our thoughts are with Adam’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
