In a recent statement, the Pentagon confirmed that there is no evidence to suggest that UFOs or extraterrestrial life have ever visited Earth. Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder addressed the topic during a press briefing, stating, “We have no evidence to indicate extraterrestrial life has visited the planet.” This follows ongoing investigations and efforts from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), established by the Department of Defense in 2022, which aims to detect and identify unidentified objects that could pose threats to national security.
Despite the rise in public interest and several investigations, the Department of Defense maintains that no UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) or UFOs have been proven to be of extraterrestrial origin. Previous reports have shown that many UFO sightings were often misinterpreted or confused with sensitive national security programs, rather than alien technology.
Earlier this year, the Pentagon launched a website allowing the public to report UFO activity. However, the agency clarified that most claims of hidden extraterrestrial programs were based on misunderstandings or circular reporting, with no concrete proof of any reverse-engineered alien technology. The announcement aligns with findings from earlier reports, which have yet to confirm any off-world technology or encounters with extraterrestrial life.
