Pink has firmly denied rumors that she deleted her Twitter account to hide any potential links to Sean “Diddy” Combs following his recent arrest. Speculation had arisen online suggesting that both Pink and Usher had cleared their social media accounts to avoid any association with Diddy, who is currently facing charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. In response, Pink clarified on her Instagram and Facebook pages that she had wiped her Twitter account months ago, on February 6, and that it had nothing to do with the current situation involving Diddy.
She posted a screenshot of her final tweet from February, which read, “This account will self-destruct in two minutes. Do it!!!” Pink further stated that while she has met various people in passing, she is not connected to any of the individuals mentioned in these rumors. Usher, who also faced similar accusations, explained earlier this week that his account had been hacked and that he had no involvement in the case against Diddy.
Diddy, who was arrested on September 16, has been denied bail twice and remains in custody awaiting trial. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment with the charges and described Diddy as a “music icon” and a “self-made entrepreneur” who has cooperated fully with the investigation. Agnifilo asserted that Diddy is an innocent man looking forward to clearing his name in court.
These rumors have only added to the media frenzy surrounding Diddy’s case, which could see him facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted. Despite the legal turmoil, Pink’s and Usher’s responses emphasize the importance of not jumping to conclusions based on online speculation. Both artists have distanced themselves from the allegations and reaffirmed that their social media activity had no connection to Diddy’s situation.
