Rosie O’Donnell has hinted that she may have relocated outside the U.S. following Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory. In recent Instagram and TikTok posts, the comedian and former View co-host shared photos that suggest she is currently in Ireland or the U.K. One image showed her driving on the left side of the road, captioned, “Bought a little used car to tool around the countryside on the wrong side of the road.” Another photo featured her daughter, Dakota, in the backseat, with O’Donnell mentioning how excited she was to walk her to school.
In a separate TikTok post, she referenced her Irish heritage, writing, “Now – here, my granny’s homeland […] a sense of belonging is what I have found here.” Another image showed a road sign in both English and Irish, further fueling speculation that she may have moved abroad. The League of Their Own star has Irish ancestry on both sides of her family, making Ireland a fitting choice for relocation.

O’Donnell has not confirmed whether the move is permanent, and her representatives have not responded to media inquiries. However, she wouldn’t be the only celebrity to leave the U.S. following Trump’s win. Reports previously claimed that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi moved to the English countryside, feeling “disillusioned” by the election results.

While O’Donnell never explicitly stated she would leave the U.S. if Trump won—despite past rumors—her recent social media activity has left fans speculating whether she has indeed followed through with an unofficial political exile.
