Ryan Reynolds and Martha Stewart recently exchanged lighthearted jabs after Stewart claimed the actor is “not so funny” offscreen. The comment came during an episode of Bilt Rewards’ November Rent Free game show when Stewart was asked which celebrity people most wanted to hang out with. While Stewart correctly guessed her friend Snoop Dogg, she was surprised to see Reynolds also ranked highly and remarked that he’s actually “very serious” in real life.

Reynolds responded on social media with his trademark humor, suggesting he’d tried to disagree with Stewart once but “she really closed the gap after a mile or so,” referring to her energy and persistence. Fans enjoyed the banter, with some joking about Stewart’s feisty reputation, even referencing her stint in a minimum-security prison.

In the game show segment, Stewart also admitted she’d replace Reynolds with George Clooney, whom she described as “fun to hang out with.” She later acknowledged Reynolds as a good actor, quipping, “He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again.”

The playful exchange, though unexpected, delighted fans and showcased Reynolds’ wit in handling Stewart’s candid comments. The interaction added to the actor’s ongoing list of humorous feuds, with fans enjoying his good-natured approach.
